Hi friends! I am here today with a Monday post because yesterday was crazy and I didn’t have the time to sit down and write and edit a blog for you all. But I am here now, so keep reading for this weeks verse.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my innermost being, praise His holy name.

-Psalm 103:1//NIV Translation

I tend to think that among all the business of our lives we forget to really praise the Lord. Sure we sing at church and youth group, but I think day to day it’s something we lose sight of. There’s so many little things that we can do to give praise as we go about our days. A big part of doing that is giving thanks to God. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing. If we’re thanking God for all the good things He has placed in our life and done for us, then we are praising His name and power.

In the NIV translation of this verse it says we should praise our Lord with our innermost being. In other words, this means our true and most vulnerable self. We have to be open enough with God to be able to praise Him truly. When we are open and honest and vulnerable with God then, and only then, can we praise Him to our true potential. Our praises cannot be lukewarm or in between, they have to be driven and purposeful and real. I like that this verse reminds us of this fact. So this week keep your sights set on the praising of the Lord.

Thank you all so much for reading and have a great week. See you back on the blog Wednesday! ❤

Much love & grace,

Jordan
