Hi friends! Sunday is here once again and so is my ever present weekly verse post. Keep reading to learn a little bit more about this verse and why I thought it was important to share with you all.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

-Matthew 28:20//NIV Translation

What a positive and reassuring verse! I think that it’s nice every once in a while to get a reminder of just how reliable Jesus is. This verse is the perfect example. Jesus is telling the disciples that he will always be with them, no matter what is to come and what the outcome will be. What makes me love this verse even more is the fact that it’s the last verse in the book of Matthew. I think it’s so cool that this is what we’re left with after we finish reading Matthew. It sums up what Jesus is about so nicely, and since we usually remember best what we are most recently told it resonates a very positive message of the light and presence of Jesus that stays with us.

In the NIV translation that I have above, I like the use of the word surely. He is surely going to be there for you. There is not a single doubt when it comes to Jesus being present for us. He will be there, which is what this entire verse is trying to remind us of. Because Jesus is ever present and there are no limitations to his power and dominion, then there isn’t a single place that Jesus can’t reach you or won’t be. And to further strengthen that point, there isn’t an allotted amount of time that Jesus is fully there for you, He declared that He would be there for you until the end. He’s never not going to answer your call or forsake you. It’s comforting to know that there are no restrictions to His power or any amount of time that He can’t reach you.

So this week remember to keep this in mind. I’ll be back Wednesday, but thank you so much for reading and have a great rest of your Sunday!

Much love & grace,
