“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.”

1 Chronicles 16:23//NIV Translation

Mission trip is over and the depression is setting in. It’s hard to come back from such an amazing trip where you’ve met new people, spent all of your time in a godly and serving community, and had a full week of hanging out with your very best friends. The high is beyond belief, but the crash is rough. The goal is to be able to carry that high with you week after week, but it’s hard to do that when you’re thrown back into the mess of everyday life. For the verse this week, I thought it would be a good idea to focus on the eternal praising of the Lord we should be striving for. When we fix ours minds in His direction, we are likely to experience that mission trip high long past mission trip.

Our minds and actions need to be Heavenward and a great way to make sure that happens is to faithfully proclaim the name of God and worship Him everyday. Spending even just five minutes in silent time with Him each day can drastically change your outlook on how your experience life. This week I challenge you to to not only keep this verse close to your heart, but to set a time and place to do Bible study—no matter how short the length of time—every day. It can even be helpful to start with a short amount of time and each day add a few minutes onto the last until you reach a comfortable spot to study in.

I can’t wait to continue sharing my experiences from mission trip and wish you all the very best! Make today great as you push head on into the new week.

Much love and grace,

Jordan ❤
